Croc Attack
In this school project we worked with an object of dislike to create something that we would end up liking. My pick was the Crocs shoes. With this T-shirt print I wanted to illustrate how Crocs shoes and their many copies were becoming more and more popular by sneaking their way into stores and onto people’s feet.

The New Space Race
A space suit to fit the needs of women who in the future will travel to other inhabitable planets with the intention to reproduce and and start a new race of humans. How can we protect them from the harmful radiation in space? The theme of the course was “Risk”, which lead us to think of risk filled situations in space. Intimacy and reproduction in space are interesting and important subjects since they’re going to be necessary if we humans are going to explore or even colonize other planets in the future. We decided to create something that would be of use in those scenarios. A visit to Nasa This project was a collaboration between Lund University and the Johnson Space Center in Houston,Texas. As part of the project we got to travel there to visit NASA and do research for our projects. We got to meet with experts on living in spacecrafts and on new planets, radiation, uncertainties human ecology in space, a space psychologist and even an astronaut. We also held an exhibition and a survey at NASA.To dig deeper into people’s thoughts and knowledge about intimacy and reproduction in space and how to aid it, we talked to 21 […]

Awkward Chair
WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO THE TABLE? “What can you bring to the table” was a group project exhibited in the Milan furniture fair. The concept was based on a game where several people take turns to draw parts of a character without knowing the end result. In the same way, each part of the chairs was designed independently without influence from the other participants. The five chairs represented the different characteristics: vain, awkward, voluptuous, androgynous and vicious. The characteristics were derived from one of the drawings made during the game. AWKWARD LEG My contribution was the left back leg for the awkward chair. The leg is strange and angular and looks different from all perspectives; it just doesn’t know what to do with itself.

Rebrace
BRIEF This concept was the result of a workshop in which we worked with a brand of choice to extend their range with something new. PERFUME BRACELET Casall is a Swedish sports brand that focuses on high quality products with a clean and classic look. I thought that a perfume would be an appropriate product to extend their range with. Rebrace is a perfume for the active woman. The rubber and plastic bracelet makes it easy to bring your favorite fragrance with you. PROTOTYPE I used the 3D program Alias to model the bracelet and then it was 3D printed to get a feel of its shape and dimensions.

Pinchu Shoe hanger
The aim of the course was to develop a full-scale prototype of a product that would be of use when living in a very small space. I chose to work with the hallway, a space that can easily get cluttered with shoes. My focus was to make a shoe storage that took up as little space as possible both in use and when stored in its packaging. I used a combination of nylon strings and clips to create a fluid shape that could be arranged in many different ways.

Bread Box
Store brought bread is sold in much bigger quantities than fresh baked bread from bakeries. One reason is because it stays fresh longer. The problem is that store bought bread that comes in plastic bags usually lacks in nutrition and can contain a lot of additives. In this project I wanted to promote people to buy freshly baked bread by making a bread box that helps storing the bread for several days. The Bread box is made from locally produced pine tree with handles made of gute twine. Wood offers natural ventilation which is needed for the bread to not get moldy or dry. I questioned the placement of the breadbox in the kitchen. Why not have a vertical breadbox that takes up less space on the kitchen counter? The shape is based on the different shapes of bread loafs. The edgy wooden sticks helps the air to circulate around the bread. The lid has an inner part that can be lowered to adjust the amount of air circulating. And a tray in the bottom collects the crumbs.

Fusion
BRIEF To design a kitchen for the near future and explore different ways of dining. FOCUS After doing a lot of research I chose a compact living scenario where boundaries of different rooms are not as apparent. I then made some criterion that the kitchen would need to fulfill: An area suitable for the future merging of the kitchen and the living room. An area combined for cooking, eating and socializing. A compact kitchen with basic necessities for cooking and dining. A mobile construction that is adaptable to the environment. RESULT The result is Fusion, a kitchen table that combines the look of a classic style table with a high tech inside. You can keep the kitchen as a regular table when you’re not cooking, and open it up when you’re ready to cook.
